HT2051 model was designed as power unit to generate the test current in order to perform the Step/Contact voltage measurements in (typical) industrial environments. The unit perform up to three output voltage selection (100,200 and 400V) with a output test current up to 35A (depending on the earth resistance of ground) and can be used closest to MV/LV transformers cabinets by setting the noted short circuits currents. The Erbacher method is integrated on unit and the test current can be applied in direct measure 1 (from circuit on test to auxiliary rod), reversed measure 2 (from circuit on test to auxiliary rod to circuit on test) and the 0 phase (no current applied). In this way the effect of noise voltages is extremely reduced respect the real measurement value. The use of the unit together with HT2052 voltage tester permits the automatic mode feature and the possibility to perform the measurement with one operator only as in this way the three phases (1,2,0) is completely automatic with a selectable time interval between them. HT2051 is integrated with a high protection input RCD and a sophisticate internal temperature check which disable the unit for any kind of damage.
